What is the difference between our 3-month RTB warranty and Device Protection Plan?
The main difference between our 3-month RTB warranty and the Device Protection Plan is that the RTB warranty covers standard repairs for hardware failures only within the first 3 months after purchase, while the Device Protection Plan offers extended coverage for accidental damage, drops, water damage, and more, even beyond the initial 3 months. What is Thunder Store's Device Protection Plan?
Thunder Store's Device Protection Plan is a comprehensive coverage plan designed to protect your refurbished device against accidental drops, water damage, and other incidents that render your device unusable including any other faults and breaks such as faulty hard drive, broken keyboard, cracked screen, and even software issues. It ensures peace of mind by offering repair or replacement services.
When should I purchase the Device Protection Plan?
To be eligible for coverage, the Device Protection Plan must be purchased on the same day as your device purchase.
What happens if my device requires repair or replacement?
In the event of a covered incident, Thunder Store will repair your device or provide a replacement of the same or similar specifications. You will need to send your device to us for inspections/repair at your own expense. The repaired or replacement device will be sent back to you at Thunder Store's expense.
Can I cancel the Device Protection Plan?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription to the Device Protection Plan at any time.
Is there a warranty after canceling the subscription?
Yes, even after canceling the Device Protection Plan subscription, your device will still be covered by the 3-month Return-to-Base (RTB) warranty as specified in the original terms.
Can I enroll more than one device with the same subscription?
No, each Device Protection Plan subscription is valid for one device only. If you like to protect 2 or more devices you will need to opt in for Device Protection Plan for each device.
Device Protection Plan - Terms and Conditions
By enrolling in Thunder Store's Device Protection Plan, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility, Timely Enrollment Requirement, and Active Subscription Requirement:
- To be eligible for coverage, the original warranty sticker on the covered device must be intact and undamaged at the time of enrollment.
- The device must be returned to Thunder Store for inspection and assessment (at customer's expense) before any repair or replacement can be initiated under the protection plan.
- The Device Protection Plan must be purchased on the same day as your device purchase to be eligible for coverage.
- To receive coverage, the device must have an active Device Protection Plan subscription.
- The Device Protection Plan covers accidental drops, water damage, and other accidents and faults that render the covered device unusable.
- If the covered device stops working by itself, rendering it unusable, it will also be covered under the protection plan.
3. Repair and Replacement:
- In the event of a covered incident, Thunder Store will repair the device or provide a replacement of the same or similar specifications, subject to availability.
- Repaired devices or replacement devices will be shipped back to you at Thunder Store's expense.
- You have the flexibility to cancel your Device Protection Plan subscription at any time.
5. Payment Method Updates:
- Customers can update or cancel their payment methods for the Device Protection Plan subscription through their account dashboard at any time.
6. Subscription Renewal:
- If the initial attempt to charge the payment method for subscription renewal fails, Thunder Store will attempt to renew the subscription for up to 7 days.
- If the subscription is not successfully renewed within 7 days from the first failed attempt, the subscription will be automatically canceled unless otherwise agreed upon with the customer.
7. Fraudulent Activity:
- Thunder Store reserves the right to cancel a customer's subscription at any time if fraudulent activity is noticed in relation to the Device Protection Plan.
8. One Subscription, One Device:
- Each Device Protection Plan subscription is valid for one device only.
9. Post-Cancellation Warranty:
- If you cancel your Device Protection Plan subscription, the 3-month Return-to-Base (RTB) warranty still applies to your device as specified in the original terms.
10. Claims Process:
- In the event of a covered incident, you must contact Thunder Store's customer support to initiate the claims process.
- Upon approval of the claim, you will be provided with instructions on how to send the device for repair or replacement.
11. Changes to Terms and Conditions:
- Thunder Store reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you through the provided contact information.
